House Plans By Design Pty Ltd has been operating at its West Ryde Studio since 1999.
Wendy Bates has managed two building companies and two architectural practices in Sydney since 1988. She enjoys managing the business and making sure that you receive the highest level of service. Wendy helped design and build two new homes in New Zealand and extensively renovated her current house in Sydney.
Nicole Porter is a graduate of the University of Newcastle's Architecture Faculty. She is an accredited Building Designer with the Building Designers Association of NSW. Nicole has been designing throughout Sydney and Newcastle since 1992. She has also been part of a successful team creating designs for homes that have been winners in Housing Industry Association, Master Builders Association and Building Designers Association Awards.
Tony Bates is a director of Building By Design Pty Ltd and has been in the building industry since 1972. Tony is known for his excellent communication skills and high quality workmanship. He specialises in exclusive residential projects.

Students for Work Experience - 2008
We were delighted to have Victoria and Elizabeth of St Andrews Cathedral School for a week of work experience. They learnt how to make a house model and designed a home from scratch, modeling it on the computer using our 3D software.

We enjoyed the wonderful architecture and culture of Melbourne, particularly Federation Square (below) and walking the Golden Mile Heritage Trail.

We spent three unforgettable weeks staying at beautiful Lake Okenagon, skiing at Silver Star Resort and enjoying the architecture of Vancouver.

Wendy is pictured here with Petra Tinker, Program Co-ordinator. As part of her commitment to the program, Wendy assisted in the growth and development of her mentoree's business. The intense training courses covered a wide range of topics including marketing strategies, business and financial management.

Nicole and her husband Nigel Porter shortly after their marriage in Newcastle. 80 guests including friends and relatives from Italy and London helped in their celebrations.

Olympic Soiree - Sept 2000
The Monthly Chamber of Commerce Social Get-Together was held at our studio. The very successful evening featured Ballina local and Olympic torch bearer Rose Hart who has raised funds for sufferers of leukaemia. An exciting night was had by all!
